I discover my two NetApp machines with the Network Device Discovery Wizard. The look fine and healthy.



I then import your MP (the sealed one) and after an hour, nothing happens (no roles get populated).



Is there any specific configuration needed? I could not find any documentation.

on 2/18/2010 8:56:07 AM The Dsicoveries are set to run at 4 hours or more. This is done to avoid to much workload when the discoveries run to often.

Wait for 24 hours for the roles to populate.

Also I did get some feedback on the volume discovery which I will look into tomorrow.

on 3/9/2010 3:15:13 PM Hi, we recently are the owner of a new IBM NetApp Filer N6040 and also SCOM2007 R2, after installing the MP now 48 ours later, I see some info coming into SCOM like Filer and Aggregates. The ones who did not show up are Volumes and LUN's. In the above articel you mentioned some feedback about volume discovery so i was wondering if there's an update about discovering Volumes and LUNS.

Will post an update to the MP in the next 2 days. I am currently looking into this issue it looks like there is an error in the mp for volume discovery.

I will test this probably tonight and post the update version. Sorry for the inconvenience,
