SCOM Severity and Resolution State Values

My memory is getting worse and worse. Maybe it’s all of the things to remember these days. It used to be easy, just remember things about me and some key dates for my wife but now, now there are kids and co-workers, family members… challenging to say the least. So with that said, there are certain ‘trivial’ things that I don’t use daily that I guess I just let go off in my memory. Priority value mappings in SCOM are one of those so I am posting these here so that I can find them easily and I hope this helps you too. :)

Resolution States
0 = New
255 = Closed

Severity Values for Alerts
0 = INFORMATIONAL
1 = WARNING
2 = CRITICAL

Looking for some great, technical training on SCOM taught be instructors with hands-on, real world experience as opposed to folks that read from the book and can’t answer your real world questions… check out Infront’s System Center training offerings, you will be impressed!
