I was installing the Linux client on 64-bit SUSE Enterprise Linux Server recently and using the standard syntax (shown below);
install –mp ‘mymp.contoso.com’ –sitecode ICG ccm-SLES11x18.104.22.168.4008.tar
To my surprise, the install script returned the following error message:
-bash: ./install: Permission denied
To work around this issue, give the interpreter a bit more information about what you are doing by adding ‘/bin/bash’ to the beginning of your command line (providing the path to Bash on the system), like so:
/bin/bash install –mp ‘mymp.contoso.com’ –sitecode ICG ccm-SLES11x22.214.171.124.4008.tar
WIth that addition, the ConfigMgr cross-platform client install script ran as expected!
