  • Hi,

I’m working in a SCOM system were we are keeping Admins to a minimum. This causes a some additional work when it comes to overrides management.

We have a lot of servers with IIS and many server admins are reluctant in removing stopped sites. Don’t ask me why, I personally don’t see the problem.

Anyway, I would like to be able to just add…[Read more]

  • Hi,

Before changing management server for an agent managed by a GW you will have to setup the new GW as a failover management server.

You have to use PowerShell for that.

  • Hi

I wonder if someone has an example, or maybe even a management pack, that discovers services on a server based on a master list of services?

So when I want to monitor a new service I only have to add the service name to the list, and when discovery kicks in all servers with the newly added service will be monitored.

  • Hi,

I’m having problems searching the forums today, so I’ll post a question.

I wonder if I can create an event based monitor that as soon as the event fires, runs a script to get additional data and raise an alert or not depending on the script outcome.

  • Hi

I’m trying to create a group of “Virtual Servers” from the cluster MP. These virtual servers should be hosted on Windows 2008 R2 windows computers.

What I want to do is to override the discovery “Microsoft.Windows.DHCPServer.2012.R2.ClusterServer.Discovery” for other OS versions than 2012, but I can’t get the group logic to work using c…[Read more]

  • Hi,

I need some help, I just realized that I have a number of deleted computers lingering in my inventory for some reasons.

I.e. one decommissioned Config Manager server is still showing up in my Windows Computers list and when creating a dynamic group based on Active Directory data that and a few others become members.

    How do I create a group…[Read more]

  • Dear community!

I’ve spent the last couple of days trying to figure out a way to reset unit monitors that don’t have a corresponding Monitor Alert.

This is what I’ve come up with.

    Suggestions and comments are welcome!
