We are looking at upgrading to SCOM 2016. Does anyone know if monitoring Windows 2003/2008 components like OS, AD, DNS, DHCP, Clusters etc with SCOM 2016 is supported or is 2012 now the minimum?
I’m posting this as it might help someone else. Below is a rule I made to backup our MPs using PShell (script omitted for brevity). You need to put the RunAs attribute in the “WriteAction” tag – in bold below.

I have a simple MP that populates a group with Windows Computer objects based on discovered instances of a different class. When I seal the MP using VSAE the group pop doesn’t work, but it works when the MP is unsealed.

Thanks alot Dave, I really appreciate your help and didn’t expect such a quick respone. I have about 5 other jobs to do before I get to this one but will definitely test your MP.
Thanks for your reply.
That’s the bit I don’t understand. How do I make ‘addmonths…’ overridable? And also, would the output be visible on screen?
Sorry normally I would spend more time on this […]
I want to run the below powershell one-liner as a console task, but also want the user to be able to specify a number for the “.addmonths(-%number%)” parameter. Is this possible?
