How to Create a New Boot WIM Image from ADK with SCCM 2012 SP1 & R2 (#sccm #sysctr)

Here’s a quick how to create a new boot wim image from the Windows Assessment and Deployment Toolkit:

1. Start Deployment Tools Command Line as Administrator

2. Re-Create Boot Images via COPYPE.CMD

COPYPE.CMD x86 1 c:\WINPE86\
COPYPE.CMD amd64 c:\WINPE64\
COPYPE.CMD arm c.\WINPEARM\

1. Extract boot.wim from ..\sources\ Folder and copy to SCCM DP-Share

Copy the images into the shared content folder

Make sure you (and ConfigMgr) have read & write access to the share

Then run the Add Boot Image wizard to add the images to Configuration Manager.
