Almost two years ago, we have posted about adding a comment in the SCSM Action Log about a review decision. PowerShell is an excellent tool but the performance of Microsoft System Center 2012 Service Manager is always an area to improve.
So we decided to rewrite our first solution in C# with some improvements. The first thing we added is a support for review activities included in sequential activities. The second one is a mark that lets find such records in the action log. We found that appending ‘(review result)’ to ‘Created by’ would help.
Now we present a superfast workflow that adds an action log record (visible on the self-service portal) about the decision made in the review activity. It is especially useful when the decision is negative.
