SCVMM rollup 10

    I ran updates on my vmm server which included rollup 10. I am now unable to connect from admin console on remote machines and the connection from my Xenapp servers is broke as well. Do I need to update the admin consoles as well? If so how is that done. I downloaded the rollup but when I attempted to run it stated the console was not installed.

     

    Any help will be appreciated.

    for the rollups there are two updates one for the server and one for the console. You need to update both even on the vmm server.  if you scroll down the download page you will see two updates one for the administrator console and one for server. I normally install the server patch first  then followed by the administrator console next. After a reboot I then update all the administrator consoles. In some cases  like  RU 11 the administrator console still seems to work with the console being on RU 10 and the server on RU 11   whereas with  previous RUs  the console would not connect if  not matched in RU levels.  As a rule  the administrator console should be on the same level as the server your are connecting to.  RU 11 is currently out as well and brings support to  adding 2016 Hyper-V hosts  to the VMM 2012 R2 also fixes and issue with the VMM console crashing on windows 10 1607 (anniversary edition) whenever you click on anything within the VMM console. Be sure to reboot after installing the RU.
