This is one of those ” I didnt think it would work but looks like it could” posts.

I have a 3node Hyper-V 2012 R2 cluster in a DELL FX Converged architecture. THe DELL Compellent SAN is connected to the nodes via SAS cables and so shows up in SCVMM as local disk. I have just added the DELL storage via SMI-S and allocated the LUNS and SAN to the Host Group. However I get this error:

    Warning (26129)
Storage logical unit SAN_NAME_PRD_CSV02 has been allocated to host group All Hosts\\Hyper-V where none of the hosts in host group has access to storage array SAN_NAME.

    Recommended Action
Give access to at least one host in the host group to the array through zoning.

What does this mean and how do (or can I?) resolve this? I am not sure I can as it just sees the disk through the local storage on each host.
