Ran across a problem and could use some help. For some reason my environment shows multiple Data Warehouse Synchronization Server listings and the names and display names show unicode instead of the actual server name. Can anyone tell me how to remove entries that aren’t needed and correct the naming? I have 2 servers and one database server.

I’ve seen this happen with database moves, and a time or two from other causes. You can write down the GUID and then go searching the database for them – I don’t remember if those are the GUIDs from the BaseManagedEntity table, or something else – but you can also remove all of them, and then re-add just the one you need.

NOTE – this involves running a SQL query against your live database – you have to decide if that risk is worth it to you. Even though this is from a Microsoft information, this COULD invalidate your support if you modify the database without getting instructions to from a case with Microsoft.

Thanks Sean, I will give this a shot next week. Hopefully this does the trick.
