I am trying to install the SCSM2016 connector for exchange. I know this is a forum for SCSM 2012, but I am hoping for some help. We do have a hybrid configuration between the on-site exchange server and office365. We have a NetBIOS domain name that is different than the internet domain. Lets call them internal and external.com. When I go through the setup, on the AD forest, I put the external domain. Leave “attach each email ….” unchecked and the other options checked. Autodiscover is unchecked. Exchange URL I put in https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx and have the run as account has E1 email account at O365. I click test connection and I get “The connection to the server was successful”. Click next, and next. select the default templates and click next. Then click on create. When I do that, the next screen comes up and says “Exchange connector creation failed”. I then go back and change the server to the on-prem exchange server and test. I get the error of “could not establish trust relationship for the ssl/tls secure channel”. Googling says it is a certificate error. I make sure the certificate is good for our CA, but I still get the error. What am I missing?

Well that is unfortunate. I reverted to an old school mentality. I deleted the Service Manager Exchange Connector and then reimported it. It now works. 2 and half days of fighting and it was that simple.
