two schedule job running on two different servers, only 1 will success and leave a success event log, while the other will leave a failed event log.
I am going to create a missed event monitoring for the two servers, only when both jobs failed, then roll up to a parent monitor as critical (Best of)
We want to create a individual application(Class), which does not belongs to the Windows Computer tree, having both monitors from the two servers under the class.
More importantly, we don’t want an expected job failure to roll up to the whole Windows Server as critical when we use the base class “Windows Local Application”
I have only free MP Author on hand, please advice, thanks!
I don’t think you can create a new class from scratch with free MP Author.
have you considered disabling the “windows local application health rollup” monitor? I generally don’t find that anything under that needs to roll up to Computer health, but your mileage may vary.
