You can now add images in your forum posts.  Just use the “Add Media” button above the visual editor toolbar.Screen Shot 2013-09-20 at 2.17.34 PM

Cool! Trish, is there any way to set auto-subscription to new posts and reply posts so that when we create a new post or reply to an existing one, we are automatically subscribed to it for future updates to those threads? I know you spoke about RSS to do this but all the other forums I’m a member on have this as an option in the users’ profile.

Thanks and gr8 work so far!

Hey Julian,  It is already set up to notify you of replies via email.  At the very bottom of the thread you’ll see a checkbox that is checked by default.  I actually coded that in the functions file some time ago.

You can check to make the post a favorite (at the top of the thread) or subscribe via rss (in the right sidebar).  Unfortunately these are all manual at this point.

I am working on a pretty big change that will hopefully implement more of this very soon.  I am also learning of new ways to implement cool features all the time.  In the meantime do keep your wishlist and feel free to let me know if you think of anything else.  I can’t promise it will happen but I do know the software is being actively developed so you never know 😉

    Thanks so much.

As for the image attachment- it does not work in *my* FireFox V23.0.1. As soon as you click the “Add Media” button the post-page goes back to the top of the page and nothing happens.

I then tried it in IE 10.0.9200.16635 and the Insert Media dialog shows but whenever I try to upload an image I get an error in the right-most column:

    Insert Media\Upload Files:

Error selectcolouredforms.png An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.

This happens with JPG & PNG files and the files are about 40K in size.

Thanks for the input, I’m not sure what’s up with Firefox lately…it’s buggy everywhere!  As for IE, I’ll look into it.  I have the file size set pretty high so that shouldn’t be an issue.  Also most of our IE issues are in IE8.  I have Parallels installed on my mac with IE10 so maybe I can get to the bottom of it.  Until then…my apologies from the world of open source software 😉

Did you have any joy working out why this won’t upload as I cannot get it to work from either IE 10 or Chrome version 31.

I get the same upload error using IE 10. Made the image an attachment for now.

I can’t “add media” either. the upload fails. I tried it from a couple of different machines at home and work. IE11

Hey guys, sorry this was missed. It has now been reported to the devs and will be solved very soon.
