Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion

    anyone facing this issue when try to start the SCOM agent on the client server to be monitor??

    Maybe it helps to increase the timeout value…

    Try the below i had to eventually increase timeout to 180000

    1) Load up regedit.
    2) Locate and then select the following registry sub key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
    3) In the right pane, locate the ServicesPipeTimeout entry. If this does not exist follow steps a and b:
    a. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
    b. Type ServicesPipeTimeout, and then press ENTER.
    4) Right-click ServicesPipeTimeout, and then click Modify.
    5) Click Decimal, type 60000, and then click OK.
    6) Restart the computer.
