I’m trying to create a MP based on the post inhttp://blogs.msdn.com/b/rslaten/archive/2009/02/25/using-a-property-bag-to-populate-an-alert-description-part-ii.aspx
The method described works perfectly. Next step is that I want to use the event data passed by the Microsoft.Windows.EventProvider module in the vb script. How can I achieve…[Read more]
I was wondering, does the new Azure AD App Proxy replace ADFS 3.0?

1. That’s good to hear.
2. Looks like a one timer and nothing to worry about. If there really is a problem with data insertion you would get a lot of these.
You could try to clear the Helth Service State on the management server if you haven’t done that already: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh212884.aspx
Difficult to say how you…[Read more]

Maybe you could try only “<Path>SOFTWAREPGGMSCOM</Path>” without the “AUT_P” in your registry discovery?
I want to create a rule in scom (2012 SP1) to create an alert for specific security events (Event 4663) (the idea is to create an alert when speicif files/directories are modified) In this event there some fields which contain a hex value. This hex value makes sense to windows but not to the users who will be handling these alerts.
Have you looked in the application and system event log on the computer where you were using the console when this happened?
You should not do this normally (I do this when very strange behaviour occur when authoring), but could you try the exact same steps on a SCOM management server with the Operations Console installed?

I don’t have the Veeam MP myself, but I’ll give it a try anyway.
You need to get all you class names and aliases right, then the logic should work. If I look at the thread you are pointing to in the Veeam forums, it looks like a mistake with alias “VMware” (this of course should fail on import though so I am not completely sure that it…[Read more]

Jeff Batchelor replied to the topic Help, Best Practices, etc. Looking for discussion. in the forum Orchestrator 1 day, 6 hours ago
Do not have an answer about the best practices for the file copy/move, but for why you are seeing the copy command run multiple times is because the activity is returning multiple responses.
In Orchestrator if an activity (say a Read Line activity on a file) returns 4 values, then the next activity (and all activities there after) will run 4…[Read more]

I can’t afford the Kelverion IP.
I’ve updated my script with login parameters and it works from a powershell x86, but it doesn’t seem to invoke the other runbook.

Rather than trying to work out how to make your own script work you could just use the Kelverion Orchestrator Runbook Management Integration Pack which is a ready built set of Orchestrator Activities which allow you to start, stop and get the status of Runbooks using the Orchestrator Web Service. …[Read more]

I’m trying to use VSAE 2013 to create a management pack for SCOM 2012 SP1.
What I want to achive is:
Create a custom server Class
Create a (template based) discovery for this class
When I import the mp in SCOM I can choose the class as a target for the Discovered Inventory view. When I go to Authring -> Discoveries I am unable to…[Read more]

Here is my script if you would like to see it. Again, I can make this work from my SCO server Powershell, but not within the .net script activity. Eventually I will need to pass parameters into this…[Read more]
