Interested in raising your profile in the System Center community and showcasing your knowledge and solution around System Center technologies with your peers? SystemCenterCentral.com, your site for all things System Center would like to help you do just that.

System Center is suite of products that provide solutions to the needs of medium and large organizations and as such SystemCenterCentral.com is focused on all of the technologies included in the System Center suite and not a specific single technology. As a way of demonstrating this, we are officially launching SystemCenterCentral.com with a launch contact that will allow participants from the community to showcase their System Center solutions and share with the world and their peers how they are using System Center to solve business problems.

Contest Rules

This contest is open to anyone that is a registered user on SystemCenterCentral.com and registration is free. We’d encourage you when you register to complete your profile and allow others to search for you and learn about your background, skills and interests.

Participants are encouraged to partner with other friends, colleagues and peers to document a solution that they have developed or implemented that they feel is unique and solves one or more business needs and utilizes two or more System Center technologies. Each submission should include the following:

·         A brief executive summary of the solution, highlighting the System Center technologies used and the business problem that was solved

·         A detailed description of the solution and the solution components including but not limited to scripts, Visio diagram of the architecture, MP or CP files, reports and all other components of the solution as well as a description of how to implement the solution.

·         The full names and emails of each of the participants.

·         All submissions must be in English and all participants agree to release all intellectual property ownership on the solution to SystemCenterCentral.com.

Judging Criteria

The criteria used to judge all submissions will include:

·         A minimum of two System Center technologies must be used. Additional points will be given to solutions that utilize more than two System Center technologies.

·         Points will be given to solutions that solve a business problem and that explain what that problem is. Additional points will be given to solutions that are able to quantify the savings or efficiencies gained through the implementation of the solution.

·         At the end of the contest, over a period of approximately one week (from September 29^th through to October 6^th, all submitted solutions will be posted on SystemCenterCental.com of other members of the community to vote. Community weighting will be a component of the judging criteria.

Contest Dates

This contest starts on July 25^th and all submissions must be in by September 28^th. Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of community supporters over a two week period following the 28^th and finalists announced on October 9^th with the grand prize winners announced on October 12^th.

Contest Prizes

• 1.       First prize for the most creative System Center solution will be a copy of Office 2007 Professional.
•  Second prize is a $250 Best Buy gift certificate.
• Third prize is a 7” digital photo frame.
