22/06/10 - Version 1.2 Released

The download has been updated with the latest version of the MP.  A number of people had reported issues with both reports which should now be resolved.

I have also had to change the certificate used to seal the management pack so if you were using the sealed version of the MP, you will need to export it before importing the new version.  If you were using the unsealed version, you should be able to upgrade.

Nice Management Pack, Thank you.

Will there be any support for logical drives that are mounted to directories in the future? Or is it supported now and I'm just missing something to enable it?

Thanks,

-Matt.

Since it's a community authored management pack, the features are really only added if the author has time. I am guessing this pack is just a gap filling until vNext.

I'm seeing a condition where if this report is run early in the morning, I get no data.. only if it's run later in the day and afternoon do we show data... SQL Team at the moment is thinking there's something up with the time computation and it's returning nothing, since there's nothing yet to return ---- I'm not a SQL guy, so I'm looking at it as best I can.. Anyone else having missing data if it's ran early in the day?

Great MP. These kind of reports should have been there out-of-the-box. Thanks.
In the 'Free Space Report' I noticed the Computer Group parameter list is not sorted. I fixed that by editing the rdl file. Maybe you could add that to the next release.

I changed:

SELECT FullName, DisplayName
FROM OperationsManagerDW.dbo.vManagedEntity with (nolock) where Path is null and FullName not like '%:%' and DisplayName like '%Computer%'

To:

SELECT FullName, DisplayName
FROM OperationsManagerDW.dbo.vManagedEntity with (nolock) where Path is null and FullName not like '%:%' and DisplayName like '%Computer%'
ORDER BY DisplayName

Also. On the last row of the table the computer group Name is shown. Maybe a DisplayName would be nicer.
I changed: <Value>=Parameters!Group.Value</Value></Textbox>
To: <Value>=Parameters!Group.Label</Value></Textbox>

I you want, you can download the RDL file here: https://sites.google.com/site/systemcentertechblogresources/scripts/Windows.LogicalDrives.FreeSpace.Report_MichielWouters_1.0.rdl?attredirects=0&d=1

This MP seems to return incorrect disk sizes in het Free Space Report. Is this known? We are using Windows Server 2008 R2.

The current version of this report is 1.2.1.1

The same report, with what looks to be cleaned up SQL, is also available from Marnix Woolf in his Thoughts on OpsMgr blog: http://thoughtsonopsmgr.blogspot.co.nz/2010/08/optimized-disk-space-report.html

for the 'Logical Drives Top 10 Fragmented Report', does it list drives that are more than 50% fragmented?
