Hi there,

every night there are running batches, but we want only a notification when the batches arent't running and if it's only from after 3 a.m to 11.59 p.m. Is there a possibility to setup this one ?

Greetings,

This can be done easily by "System.SchedulerFilter". This will allow you to monitor only in a specific timeframe. Please see a very good example here: http://download.microsoftvirtuallabs.com/download/8/a/7/8a71365b-4c80-4e60-8185-8f12f59bf1d4/SystemCenterOperationsManager2007ManagementPackAuthoringAdvanced.pdf

Or the dirty way: work with the subscriber settings to get alerting (eMail, SMS, Intant Messaging) only within a specific timeframe (nevertheless the alert will be shown in console).

I already have a monitor to look after the batches, can you describe which part of the document I have to do ? I don't understand your second thread: Or the dirty way: work with the subscriber settings to get alerting (eMail, SMS, Intant Messaging) only within a specific timeframe (nevertheless the alert will be shown in console). It's wayne if an alert shows up, the main thing is the notification which is off between midnight and 3 or 4 a.m.

In the pdf starting at page 10 it is described how to setup a monitor that is only running in a specific timeframe. I think this is what you want? My second post was just about the scheduling of alerting based on subscribers.

Ok I did everything in step 2 and know, how is it working ? I found the monitor but how I am going to use it, I just want that on one server and only for a few monitors, which check the if the batches are running. How can I do it that only if these monitors are going critical (batch isn't running) the other monitor says ok, it's 2 o clock in the night, you get an alert, but we don't send a notification ?

Maybe the subscriber solution is the best for you (see attached picture) ....
