Hi all,
Now I need to configure to monitor the web site with 2FA enable. So now I am facing some problems in configurations.
My situation is as follow:
My customer has one web site that is using windows integrated authentication and enabled 2FA as well. So if we go to the home page, the user is authenticated. This user is windows login user. If you have right to go in, the second step is authenicated with RAS pin. My customer already provided with static pin for this. So no problem at all.
The problem is that I created the Run As account for web monitoring. I used the windows user name and RAS static pin during creation. After that I assigned this account to the web site. When I run test, fail because the account I used to login to SCOM server has no access right to this website. So authentication failed even in the FIRST STEP.
I just wondering whether you all have any solution for this issue. Even if you have better solution to monitor 2FA website, please suggest me.
Thanks.
Yes what I am thinking is to request my customer to grant the permission to the SCOM administrator to access this website and tie it with the static pin. Then I can use SCOM Admin account to configure the Web monitoring.
How do you think? Is it going to be a problem when I set the authentication in web monitoring wizard because I am using SCOM Admin account not the dedicated RunAS account?
Please advice me.
