Here is the problem...
1) Create a SCOM group with some servers, let`s say : Server1, Server2, Server3
2) I canot create reports with that new SCOM group. I have to wait 1 day ( Does anyone know why? )
3) Let`s say... i can wait 1 day...   I do some changes at the SCOM group: delete Server1, Server2,  and add Server4 and Server5...
4) I am trying to create the report.... that day or the next day... strange things are happening....  some old servers appears some new servers dont....
For example it happend that in the report to appear all the servers Server1,Server2,Server3,Server4,Server5.... ??? WHY??? because the group only has 3 servers ( Server3,Server4,Server5 )

Anyone got this problem?
I assume that there are some updates that are not made in the SCOM database...

PS: I have SCOM SP1

If I remember that one correctly, the problem is, that the instances needed to be member of the group during the timespan the report gets its data.

It's something like this: you have 3 servers collecting data for a while. you place those 3 servers into a group and wait 3 days. when you run a report on the group for the last 6 days you will get 3 days no data (because at that time the servers weren"t member of this group) and 3 days data.

I think it was something like that. Can someone here confirm this behavior?

cheers,

Stefan

No, that is not the problem... If i create the group let`s say Today, Tomorow I can make the report for that group for any time period that it colected data.

The problem is if i delete a server from that group... and i want to generete the report ( even if i wait the next day... )... It still appears.....!!!!! WTF???

Very strange. I have to verify if this is still the case with R2 or maybe someone else can share his experience.
