Advantage in specifying On Demand Detection in Monitor Type?

I created a custom data source, monitor type and monitors (which are working as expected), but there was one screen in the Monitor Type wizard where I was unsure of what I should do.

On the On Demand tab, I assume I am configuring the monitors created from this type  to respond to the "Reset" and "Reconfigure" buttons in the Health Explorer?

P.S - I attached a screenshot with the tab I am talking about in case that helps clarify what I am asking.

Thanks for taking time to  answer this, that is EXACTLY what I wanted to know about On-Demand Detection. Boris even included an xml sample download I could open in the Authoring console.
