While I am here, does anyone have a release date for DPM 2010? We have some hosts in DMZ we need to backup and today have to use a third party backup solution.

I was on the “Get Ready for System Center Data Protection Manager 2010 Release Candidate” webcast on Thursday and asked that very question and got told H1 this year. So hopefully it will be out before July.
In the meantime the DPM 2010 Release Candidate will be released within the next 2-3 weeks which will have the functionality you need and upgrade to RTM will be supported.

Hey David, since upgrade to RTM is supported, does that mean Microsoft will support using the RC in production environments?

Unfortunately, full support will not be provided until RTM. However, the product team are all over the MS DPM newsgroup providing support if needed.
