We also see loads of these alerts on virtual machines. Can you explain why we see these in virtual servers?

I have found two Windows 2008 computers in my environment without this key that required reboot. I have searched the Internet repeatedly for answers and cannot find much. Does anyone have a script or something we can use to find these?

Is it possible to create an attribute that will show me computers that require a reboot? I need to find a way to present these computers in a view, and then maybe even put a reboot task with it.

I am trying to configure SCOM to raise an alert when a system is out of compliance with a DCM baseline. Can anyone tell me where a DCM baseline records out-of-compliance information? If I understand where this data is, I will be able to determine how

Is a dynamic Visio possible? I was thinking I'd like to do the equivalent of a diagram view, but in Visio so my first tier isnt hogging resources with console sessions just to watch one diagram.

All, I am trying to publish reports to a file share, and need to dynamically add the date and/or time into the report name so it does not get overwritten. It seems to me I have seen some variables you can use in the report name, but darn it, I cannot fi

I can vouch for that guide being helpful. I found it somewhat easier than the product documentation.

I have no version info Simon. Someone pulled the MP to stop the process from kicking off again (after about the 3rd time it did). Once the Windows Server 2003 OS MP was removed, all was well. Just a bit scared it may happen again as we are unsure where th

Is there or has there been a version of the Windows Server OS Management Packs that included a rule or monitor that automatically launched a disk defragmentation job for servers over a threshold? This happened to a group of our servers a few days ago.

I am trying to write a Powershell script to count the number of occurrences of an object class. It seems natural that I would use the get-monitoringobject cmdlet, but when I use it, I only get a list of groups. Does anyone have a short script or one-l

David, thanks for the quick response. I had actually found a link to your SNMP Probe-based Monitors article here on the site but on another thread. Not the magic bullet I hoped for, but confirms what I feared. I have some work ahead of me creating a bun

Gurus, I have read the SNMP series for OpsMgr 2007 here on the site and seen some of the sample SNMP packs on MP catalog, but it all seems somewhat painful to me. Is there a way to monitor a network device without spending money on third party add ins
