    Simon Skinner MVP has been in the computer industry since the early 1990's. Starting out as a programmer in VB, he developed stock control systems for haulage companies. From there he moved into networking and gained a high level of experience and expertise, designing and building web and server farms for increasingly larger organisations.

    Aware of its increasing importance in the new millennium, Simon turned his attention to System Management with Microsoft SMS and MS MOM. This today is where Simon’s real talent is although evolving to System Centre Operations Manager 2007.

    Simon has worked with Microsoft demonstrating, planning and deploying SCOM to clients in the UK and France. After starting SecQuorum in early 2006 the company’s core services is with SCOM. We adopted SCOM 2007 in a hosted environment in early 2006 and the service has gone from strength, offering monitoring solutions in various mode to suite most companies.

Marco, the reporting in 2008 is really different to 2005. AddWebConfigAppSettingCA is an error with the web Config file. I would backup the DB then remove SQL 2005 replace with SQL 2008. Remove the reporting then restore the DB's back into SQL 2008 clean

You can run sc config storflt start= disabled. Also check that you have a 64bit driver and not a 32bit driver

wow, read that wrong. Yes DB is set to Auto Grow so will and set to Full so you can backup the logs. There is a good doc on this which I will go and get.

To be honest I would use Tommy's AD and Security MP, I will get the link for you in a minute, the overheads will be less and there is no need for an addtional Database, servers or Ports.

You need to run the asp.net file the server. This is a OEM cut down version of the AVIcode product and will give you a basic view of your sites. The file is in the 'HelperObject' on the CD/DVD for Operations Manager, these will create a MP within the cons

OK, can the users that you are trying to get to logon to the OpsMgr console and web console can they logon to the Server hosting OpsMgr? Are there restricted to what machine they can logon to via AD? Are they listed in the Local User group unders Domain U

Odd, I agree that they may go into the Personal file and not the Computer folder. Can you export the certs to your desktop then import them direct into the computer folder?

So the users are in the Operations User Role in the Operations Manager console, and I guess they can use the Operation Manager Console. So are you using the Domain\Username format? Can an Administrator of the Operations Manager server logon?
