HarashukuGrl RE: 2012 Alert Question
Have you tried filtering your subscriptions using classes (that have SQL, Exchange, etc. in the name) or using groups containing just SQL or Exchange servers?
HarashukuGrl RE: Re: Should Operators be able to add Company Knowledge in OpsMgr 2012?
fortunately, we are not yet in a position to integrate into the incident management process in our CMDB. :( OpsMgr is the source of monitoring knoweldge today. I guess we'll make do. Thank you for your reply with clarification on required permissions.
HarashukuGrl post a question under Operations Manager.
Are agents automatically load balanced in a resource pool in OpsMgr 2012?
If I am reading the product documentation correctly, it seems that network and cross-platform systems are automatically load balanced across the pool, but Windows agents are not? Is this really by design? Seems strange this would be true.

Should Operators be able to add Company Knowledge in OpsMgr 2012?
I created an Operator role recently for a new group of Opsmgr users, and I notice they cannot add Company Knowlege. Is this by design?

Thanks Drew, but the reason I was thinking about a SQL query is to check if ALL management servers are in maintenance mode.

I am looking through the product documentation (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27850) and do not see a document specific to reporting. Where is the best place to read more?

With Operations Manager 2012, there is a Management Pack Authoring Guide that explains how to choose base classes for your custom class. Is there similar documentation for Service Manager 2012? I am unable to find it.

We have certain types of attachments that get attached to work items in Service Manager that are sensitive. Would it be possible to put work items into different queues based on attachment type or name and then grant access to those queues to analysts?

I am wondering if PowerShell is supported in ConfigMgr 2007 software deployment? I am having trouble getting it to work in my test deployment.

Would you share with us the PowerShell you are using now and perhaps we can suggest an adjustment?

Can anyone tell me how to add my custom distributed application modules to SCSM as business services (service maps)? I see the Operations Manager, Active Directory and Exchange under business services, but not my custom models.
