Thoughts on Veeam for OpsMgr 2012?
Community, I am interested to hear your experience with Veeam for VMware monitoring in Operations Manager 2012. I read that the solution is good, but is it worth the price in your opinion?

Do VMM 2012 generic command execution support VBScript?
I am trying to run a script as a post-install GCE. The script basically runs on a newly deployed workstation and moves it's machine account to an OU. The script runs when I run it manually on the workstation. However, when I run it as a GCE in the service template (under a privileged Run As account), it fails.  Should this be possible?

Local Administrator self-service right not working in VMM 2012?
I have created a self-service user role in VMM 2012 that includes the 'Local Administrator' action, which says it grants the user local administrator rights. However, VMs in new services deployed by this user do not get local administrator rights. Has anyone else tested this feature?

Alert supression when branch office is disconnected in Opsmgr 2012?
I thought one of the objectives with network monitoring in Opsmgr 2012 was to supress alerts when the network devices separating agents from management servers was to suppress alerts. My testing reveals this is not the case. How are people handling branch office maintenance mode in OpsMgr 2012?

SQL query to detect mgmt svrs in maint mode in OpsMgr 2012?
Does anyone have a SQL query to identify management servers in the resource pool that share the RMS emulator responsibilities? I'd like to watch for this condition if possible.

Bryan, my understanding from the guide is that only Windows 8 works in the VMM 2012 CTP1. Are you managing Windows 2008 R2 SP1 and older? My VMM CTP1 was crashing so much I reverted to RTM

I just wanted to follow up to report that I had an IM exchange with Tommy Gunn offline and he sent me this URL, which has the answers I needed. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh212924.aspx How to Deploy the Operations Manager Web Part Be...

Adding a Site name to a management server is not possible as far as I know. It seems like this might be a better job for Orchestrator 2012?

Curt, do you have any custom management packs containing PowerShell? Andreas and some others on this forum have reported an issue with some crashes related to custom PowerShell.

Does anyone know of a good set of instructions on how to add a Dashboard View or other report into SharePoint?

Try searching by the display name of the cluster objects you see in the view where they have state, "sisdagp1" and "sismfcp3"

Are you talking about the Windows Virtual Server associated with a cluster? The one that appears as a physical machine (V=false) in OpsMgr? I ask because I group those all the time. Please let us know the Display Name of the class you are talking about.

We were experiencing delays like this, and suspected the Config service was overworked. At recommendation of someone on this community, we implemented Matt Goedtels enterprise performance optimizations (http://blogs.technet.com/b/mgoedtel/archive/2010/08/...

Do you think it would be better to do this with Orchestrator or to stick with PowerShell at this point in time?

Drew, just wanted to report this worked very well. Scott, not wanting to use the old cmdlets as we may be able to carry updated scripts into the next release.
