Hi Wilson, I've used the UI few times and based on your comments have couple suggestions. 1) definately read the guide, the UI is intended for net new installations and does not support existing SQL databases (although works if you setup same way UI does), it deploys all the prereqs for you. This is probably core of issues you are seeing. 2) The UI supported configurations is very basic in this version which is why targeted for lab/poc type installs. It does deploy SCSM roles across two servers to separate DB/DW workloads. Hope the above helps. Cheers, Jeremiah

Definately and good to hear, intent of dashboard packs is once one person makes the dashboard everyone can use it. So you could make hybrid ones across multiple tools, or have views per tool, can also wire the drill-down to open that console. ;) So now you can have single presentation layer, across all your solutions, and integrate with them. On related note...with beta launch we are offering free custom dashboard packs, basically providing couple hours services, we'll map out your data and give you dashboard pack as well as post to community library. For OM can use our template and make new OM dashboards in about 10 minutes, most dashboards for new data take couple hours, some folks spend days geeking em out. Can import the canned ones and customize too.

System Center Webtop is a web framework for dashboarding and portals. It provides a centralized integrated web layer, separate from SharePoint or SC consoles, that allows you to show data from multiple sources with variety of controls and drill down to other tools.  ie you can show OM, CM, SM, VMM data all in single dashboard without any development. The framework also allows you to import/build custom dashboard packs for any data type. If you watch the video you'll see there's HUGE difference in the depth of presentation and analytics capability, way more than just OM, it's presentation layer for private cloud solutions. I would agree there's lots of ways to deliver presentation data ranging from consoles, reports, web pages, sharepoint, etc... Webtop provides a unifed way to show data across all these different solutions and additionally like OM webparts can be shown from within SharePoint and/or consume webparts as well.
