Tommy Gunn RE: Symantec Endpoint Protection + SCOM 2007
Yes it can, and the guidance Symantec provided for MOM 2005 applies for Operations Manager 2007 / 2012. See "Can Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager be monitored by Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM)?" at http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH105164 They also have a sample of a healthy page to show you what should be returned.
Tommy Gunn post a question under Service Manager.
ConfigMgr connector in Service Manger is working...or is it???
I set up my Configuration Manager connector in Service Manager 2012. While Software Update data and Hardware Inventory are coming over the connector, the Installed Software section in the properties of the computer CIs is empty. Why would this be?

Has anyone tried to deploy this way? If so, can you share your results?

Thanks for the reply Kenneth. I do see a list of applications in Add/Remove programs in ConfigMgr. Is there something more specific I can look for in in ConfigMgr or SvcMgr?

Great news. This rule exists in the Windows OS Managment Pack BY DEFAULT. It is disabled by default, so you need to set Enabled = True with an override. The rule is named 'A Software Update Installation Failed' The target is Windows Server 2008 Operati...

Other options include Multi-host Ping MP (http://www.systemcentercentral.com/PackCatalog/PackCatalogDetails/tabid/145/IndexID/11551/Default.aspx) or a simple two-state monitor with a ping script.
