It turns out that the alerts weren't for all DB's. The alerts were only generated by DB's not maintained by the DBA team.

Thanks for the reply Kenneth. I do see a list of applications in Add/Remove programs in ConfigMgr. Is there something more specific I can look for in in ConfigMgr or SvcMgr?

Bryan, my understanding from the guide is that only Windows 8 works in the VMM 2012 CTP1. Are you managing Windows 2008 R2 SP1 and older? My VMM CTP1 was crashing so much I reverted to RTM
