Alert:Total Percentage Interrupt Time is too high
Issue:These alerts were occurring on specifically on virtual systems in the environment.
Resolution:Created groups in OpsMgr for both servers running VMware and those running Hyper-V (details available on www.systemcentercentral.com). Based both upon readings upon the reliability of this metric in a virtualized environment (http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vmware_timekeeping.pdf, http://searchservervirtualization.techtarget.com/tip/0,289483,sid94_gci1373898,00.html) and historical settings for monitoring this performance metric (taken from existing MOM 2005 configurations) we created an override to set the threshold on this to 25 for both groups which we created.
