icon14sx6 A few days ago, Microsoft released their own version of a "virtualization readiness" tool for checking your server for hardware virtualization support. We actually had incorrect information from the Intel version of such a tool when looking at a Dell Server. It took the Dell OMSA to tell us the BIOS was not at the minimum required level. Will be interesting to see the differences between the tools.

Overview

Windows Virtual PC requires processors capable of hardware-assisted virtualization with AMD-V™, Intel® VT or VIA® VT turned on in the BIOS.
The HAV detection tool helps you check if the computer processor supports hardware virtualization. The tool also checks if this feature is enabled on the processor.
