Common Questions about notification

In Notifications Part 4 we will look at Common Questions about notification;

Q; “What if my mail server goes down say at a week-end and we can’t get the alerts"?”

A; You can set a secondary mail server up when you set the Primary.

Q; “I get silly characters in the subject line of my notifications. What can I do to resolve this?”

A; Have you modified the subject field, this is the usual cause for this.

Q; “I want to scope notifications so my Active Directory admins in Japan to receive alerts for their AD servers only. How would I do this?”

A; Create a group for your users then scope it, so in this case the scope is for AD on the servers in Japan. So when there is an alert on the AD servers in Japan the AD admin in Japan will receive an alert
